UK Credit Cards — No Annual Fee
No annual fee, 0%
balance transfer, low APR and lots of cashback
and other benefits. But can it be done? Well, yes . . .
up to a point.
The following cards are the best we
could find that have no annual fee. They are bank based,
as banks tend to eschew the annual fee for the marketing
gain in getting a new bank client. As is so often the case
in credit card land, the use of credit
cards as a marketing device for the core business
benefits the consumer.
Non bank credit cards, and derivatives
(branded differently to the bank's main card) often have
a higher underlying interest rate than
bank issued cards. For example, interest on cash withdrawals
may verge on punitive, and penalties, like a high APR, tend
to cut in at as moment's notice if a payment is late, or
a limit is exceeded. So use with care!
